Lightbulb Two files keep the line with pattern

Hi Everyone,

text1.txt
Code:
a 2
bb 33
c 4

text2.txt
Code:
bb
c

the output should be Smilie
Code:
bb 33
c 4

Please advice, how to do like using awk, perl , or others.

Thanks

Got the answer already.
Code:
awk '{str = $1 ; getline < "text1.txt" ; print str "\t" $2 > "output.txt"}' text2.txt

reference from
Awk from two files into one file
comparing two files using awk.

one way:
Code:
awk 'FILENAME=="text2.txt" {arr[$1]++}
       FILENAME=="text1.txt" { if($1 in arr) {print $0} }'  text2.txt text1.txt > newfile

Note the order of the filenames is backwards: 2 then 1

you could also use the comm command.
