Shell Programming and Scripting

Recently, I need to generate a lot of files from a few master files. In fact, if I relogin to the server machine, my operating would be much faster. My question is this: Can I write a script in which the current path can be automatically saved and relogin to the server to execute my command in the same directory, after that, this script can exit from server to the current directory in which I am working.

Something could be like this:

Firstly, checking directory and save it internally;
Secondly, relogining to server and CD to the directory;
Thirdly, excuting my command ( I can handle it only);
At last, exiting from server to my current directory on my machine.

Any ideas?
