Append char to the end of string from Nth column
I'm sure this is easy to do but I can't find a one line command with awk or sed to append a char to the end of the string from Nth column.

Any sugestion please?

This will append "c" at the end of 10th column.
Code:
awk '{$10=$10 "c"}1' infile

If you need a different solution please post a data sample.
