Hi,

Can anyone please tell me what is the concept of core file in unix system.

I could see a core file in the home directory for my nix file system which is

In computing, a core dump consists of the recorded state of the working memory of a computer program at a specific time, generally when the program has terminated abnormally: http://www.bing.com/reference/semhtm...le&q=core+file

You can remove that if you dont want. No big issues.
