HOWTO list website content

Hello

Does anyone know how to list a website content
I mean i have a URL and i want to know what is the name the size and the date of the differents files

I have red "wget man page" but i didn't see which option can do this

I don't even know if wget is exactly the command i need

I need a kind of "ls http://www.xxxxx.com/xxx"

I don't need to be recursive i only need the files present in the directory i give

Sorry for my english but it's not my mother-language and sorry if the post is not in the right forum but i'm new

Thanks in advance

Xavier

If the only access you have is through HTTP, you are limited to what the web server will give you. If the directory has an index file, index.html, for example, you will not be able to get a directory listing.

If there is no index file, you may or may not be able to get a listing.
