Shell Programming and Scripting

Hi All,


I need to come up with a shell script that logs into a windows system and fires a batch/executable file in it.

Any idea how to go about doing this?

Set up sshd for windows and use ssh on your Unix/Linux side to trigger off remote things in your shell script.
There is plenty of information about that in this forum as well on the internet.

But can we install PuTTy in an Unix box?

Is there any other ssh client that'll serve my purpose?

I do not know what kind of Unix or Linux you use but usually these days all of them come with a ssh client that you just call with the command ssh. Check out

Will need to look into ssh commands 'coz my knowledge about 'em is almost null, however, that was a headstart !
