@ is a special array

Hi all,

I've got this silly problem:
Code:
var="foo bar baz"; echo "${var% *}"; myEcho() { echo "\"${@::${#@}}\"" -- ${@: -1}; }; myEcho foo bar baz
foo bar
"foo bar" -- baz

that is OK, but
Code:
set -x;manSearch() { man -LC -P"less -p \"${@::${#*}}\" ${*: -1}"; }; manSearch Parameter Expansion bash

tells:
Code:
+ manSearch Parameter Expansion bash
+ man -LC '-Pless -p "Parameter Expansion" bash'
What manual page do you want?

Thanks in advance
