Good morning everybody

I have a variable file (mean the data inside the file keep changing in frequent basis) and I want to develop a script to count if we get 3 similar names except last digit (xxxxA, xxxxB, xxxxC) and counter will be reset if one of the name is disappear.

details:

variable file :
<description >
xxxxA
<description >
xxxxB
<description>
xxxxC

if the above senario in variable occcure i want to count if not then ignore

The above is sample of my input or variable file. In the file there are 3 TEST name but the last digit is different if this occure in the file then I want count else ignore

if there not 3 similar name then ignore
