cd into your backup directory and enter the command:

Code:
pwd

pwd should return something similiar to this:

Code:
pwd
/home/backup

Then, regardless of what directory you are in, you can run the find command:
find /home/backup -name "*abhi*"

This will list any filenames with "abhi" in them that are found in /home/backup or any sub-directory beneath /home/backup, i.e. /home/backup/dir1.

example
Code:
find /home/backup -name "*abhi*"
home/backup/dir1/abhi.dat
home/backup/abhi.dat
home/backup/abc_abhi.dat
home/backup/abc_abhi_xyz.dat

There should be manual pages installed in your UNIX server. If you type:
Code:
man find

It will give a more in-depth explanation and options.

Good Luck
