CPU & Memory cobol help....compiler key and its usage....

i am having mfcobol old version... which was supplied by my friends....with a compiler key (h/w) having 24 pin male on one side and 24 pin female on the other side....with lable LOPOEK XXXXXXXXXX MICRO FOCUS........

AM USING NORMAL COMMANDS USING .CBL, .OBJ, .LIB FILES TO GET COBOL EXE FILE....

WHAT WILL BE THE USE OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED H/W IN MY PROGRAMMING....AND HOW TO USE THE SAME...

HOW TO GENERATE .GNT .DLL FILES WHAT THEY REPRESENT IN COBOL PROGRAMMING

Hi I dont have a cobol compiler in my redhhat linux box, and so I want to install it. When i try the below command sudo apt-get install open-cobol it tells "apt-get : command not found". pin - Package InformatioN SYNOPSIS
pin [OPTION] [PACKAGENAME/FILE] DESCRIPTION
Pin searches the installed packages (rpm -qi, -ql) and/or the ARCHIVES.gz file for the desired information. It shows also README, README.SuSE, FAQ, when available. It is also possible to search through different version with the -v option, if you have the ARCHIVES.gz from it. You have to copy AR- CHIVES.gz to /var/lib/pin/ for this option, don`t forget to name it, e.g. 7.1-ppc, 7.2-i386. pin open a dialog box and wait for searchstring pin <name> searches for a package <name> pin -f <name> greping also if package was found pin -v <version> <name> searches through another version, not the default AUTHOR
