Dear Experts,

can you please help me how to achieve this,

i am passing a command line arguments in this way,
./Test.sh abc,123,xyz,789,mno,456

like this but inside my Test.sh i want to replace abc means

Test.sh

abc=aaa
xyz=eee
mno=ccc
gtk=ssss

some thing like this means the command line arguments are not going to be static they will change always, so is there any way that while reading the command line arguments through the array can we match the declarations inside the program,

please help me in this regard.

In addition to what momo.reina said, use something like:

eval "$1=\"$2\""

to create a variable with a name contained in $1 and a value contained in $2. See this thread for details on how to pass a comma separated argument list.

There's no need for the escaped quotes, and it could fail if the expansion of $2 contains quotes.

Escape the dollar sign on the right-hand side of the assignment:

eval "$1=\$2"
