I have written a PERL script to read files from directory that the filename contains OT. It then takes each line of each file and prints the first 5 characters before the first occurence of a /.
Currently I am getting the error:

Am trying to remove urls from text strings in PERL. I have the following but it does not seem to work:
$remarks =~ s/www\.\s+\.com//gi;
In English, I want to look for www. then I want to delete the www. and everything after it until I hit a space (but not including the space).

I have a file (say 'file1')and I want to search for a first occurence of pattern (say 'ERROR') and print ten lines in the file below pattern. I have to code it in PERL and I am using Solaris 5.9.

Path::Dispatcher::Match - the result of a successful rule match
SYNOPSIS

$match->leftover # empty string (populated with prefix rules)

DESCRIPTION
If a Path::Dispatcher::Rule successfully matches a path, it creates one or more "Path::Dispatcher::Match" objects.
ATTRIBUTES
rule
The Path::Dispatcher::Rule that created this match.
path
The path that the rule matched.
leftover
The rest of the path. This is populated when the rule matches a prefix of the path.
positional_captures
Any positional captures generated by the rule. For example, Path::Dispatcher::Rule::Regex populates this with the capture variables.
named_captures
Any named captures generated by the rule. For example, Path::Dispatcher::Rule::Regex populates this with named captures.
parent
The parent match object, if applicable (which may be set if this match is the child of, for exampl, a Path::Dispatcher::Rule::Under prefix)
METHODS
run
Executes the rule's codeblock with the same arguments.
pos($i)
Returns the $ith positional capture, 1-indexed.
