"#!/bin/ksh -f" What does the -f option do?
What does "-f" option do? This is at the start of a shell scripts to point to full path to the interpreter such as /bin/ksh

What does the -f option do?

It's all explained in the man page!

It turns off filename globbing.

Scottn - on my version of man ksh the -f option is on page 54. man ksh is not like reading man yes.

I know. It's very dull. But it is searchable using / (usually!)

Not that you have to search on AIX. The man page is only about 2 pages long!
