Removing lines in a text file.

Here is my problem I'm hoping you guru's can help me figure out. I have a text file that contains comma delimited columns. What I'm looking to do is see if the 24th column on each row in the file contains a value (not null), and then write/append that line to a different file.

I've been pulling my hair out for the last couple of days..... HELP before I loose all of my hair!

Thanks in advance.

Using awk to print lines where column 24 is not null...
Code:
awk -F, '$24' file1

Almost... That actually returns all of the lines.

Actually, the 24th column contains "" if there is no data, so how would I find only the lines that do not contain "".
