How to put multiple logs in single line?
Hi,

I have a script which generates a log file on demand by redirecting the output to a log file. But the requirement is :

echo A
echo B
echo C

should print A B C

not like
A
B
C

and this has to be handled in script only..not in the shell level (while running the script only) .

Please help me. Thanks in advance.

Are you saying that you want all the log entries to be on the one line or each line contains three log entries?

If you donīt wont to output the trailing newline, you have to use -n option with echo.

Like:

echo -n A
echo -n B
echo -n C

Nope, not all the log entries are at the same line. There are few cases where some of the shell output has to be logged in a same line. The example I have chosen consists 3 echo. There might be more than that or any other command's output.

have you tried to use prinftf? maybe it helps.
