Help- Escape the usage of "@"

Hi All,

I have an expect function like following. I am facing a problem as the username using for connection is an email id.

Code:
set timeout -1
spawn /usr/bin/sftp -b /ftp/nas1/imrm/mms/scripts/cmdHlc jketterer@blahblah.com@68.25.143.12

match_max 100000
expect -exact "Connecting to 68.25.143.12...\r
jketterer@blahblah.com@68.25.143.12's password: "
send -- "htc\%1\!\r"
expect eof

pwd
sleep 12

hence im getting stuck like following.

Code:
spawn /usr/bin/sftp -b /ftp/nas1/imrm/mms/scripts/cmdHlc jketterer@blahblah.com@68.25.143.12
Connecting to ironmountain.com@68.25.143.12...
blahblah.com@68.25.143.12's password:

Can anybody help me to escape the usage of "@" in the username. i tried escaping jketterer\@blahblah.com@68.25.143.12 and jketterer\\@blahblah.com@68.25.143.12 but no progress.

It would be a great help if some one can help me in this.

Try the sftp option -l (lowercase L) to specify the username.

The problem isn't with the shell -- it's with ssh.
