I have a log file containg records in sequence
<CRMSUB:MSIN=2200380,BSNBC=TELEPHON-7553&TS21-7716553&TS22-7716553,NDC=70,MSCAT=ORDINSUB,SUBRES=ONAOFPLM,ACCSUB=BSS,NUMTYP=SINGLE;
<ENTROPRSERV:MSIN=226380,OPRSERV=OCSI-PPSMOC-ACT-DACT&TCSI-PPSMTC-ACT-DACT&UCSI-USSD;
<ENTRGCSERV:MSIN=226380,GCSERV=CALLWAIT-ACT-TELEPHON&CALLHOLD&CLIP&MPTY,CLIPOVR=NO;

how i find total records in text file having only CRMSUB and ENTRGCSERV parameters, no ENTROPRSERV parameters

means in records CRMSUB follow ENTRGCSERV not ENTROPRSERV

I tried grep...but it doesnt help.

What have you tried and where are you stuck?

grep -v ENTROPRSERV

With the -v option you're excluding the lines you don't want, why don't you grep for the lines you want?
Try the -E option, where you can specify an extended regular expression to grep for the 2 patterns.

could u pls summerized the one line code that sort out me to find exact solution.

Even I tried egrep option..but the thing is that we need all records having no ENTROPRSERV parameters. only CRMSUB and ENTRGCSERV parameters.
