Lightbulb Need opinion

After search and many try. I think is really impossible to make SSH communicate with co-process.
  1. The first solution is to use SSH key pairs but it's not everytime possible.
  2. The second solution is to use expect, which allow to do use script with password(like the code above).

Code:
/usr/bin/expect << EOT
spawn ssh user@$ip
expect "*assword:*"
send -- "password\r"
send -- "\r"
send -- "command...\r"
...
EOT

After reflection I'm thinking about what is the really advantage of use KSH with co-process instead of expect?

Advantage of expect:
  • support SSH and Telnet
  • manage answer of the device

Advantage of coprocess:
  • A KSH shell is enough, you haven't got to setup package like with expect
  • You just use the shell and not a tool so I thing it's more performant with CPU...
  • the code is more simple than expect

So finnaly I hesitate to just use expect. Do you have any more argument about coprocess of KSH in this case?
