how does your new file "come in" ?? into the same directory as your old filename.txt ? if its into the same directory, then it will overwrite the old file, since they are the same name. that's what i am trying to tell you.

ok sorry I got u late..i have the new file in the different directory...i mean I have two files in two separate directory
