checking thorough files and renamingit
hi all

am very new to unix scripting.....

i have a work right now that i should complete by End of Day Smilie

scenario is

i get some x number of files with .csv extension on a specified path at my operating system. the names of the files are as follows . the record lay out is same for all the tables except that the data is different

Boost_Deactivation_<yyyymmdd>.csv
T Mobile_Deactivation_<yyyymmdd>.csv
Sprint_Deactivation_<yyyymmdd>.csv

i should
1)connect from oracle to this path..
2)ooop through each of the files that exist
3)rename them to a common name
4) concatenate them in to a single file
5)backup the files to backup folder


how to do it please help me .. its very very urgent Smilie am totally clueless of how to do

Hi Guys, I wrote a code which checks for the text and directory. If the path is incorrect than it should echo that particular path not found.
