How to add `` to a file
Hi

I need to upend some word to the file.
I have used echo “welcome “ >>/tmp/one command to upend the file

Now I have a problem of adding the word like `welc`.Smilie
I used the echo “`welc`” >>/tmp/one

I got an error like welc: command not found


Please help me to add the above word to the file

check this out echo '`welc`' >>/tmp/one
# 3

I have one more probelem .Using the command which u have given am not ablto appedn the given work `ptree $PID | head -1 | awk '{print $1}' `

When i use echo '`ptree $PID | head -1 | awk '{print $1}' `' it is added to file like
`ptree $PID | head -1 | awk {print } `

Here the ' is miising.

echo "'"'`ptree $PID | head -1 | awk '{print $1}' `'"'"

this will work for you.
