i need help with scripting a time addtion tool:

Time: HHH:MM:SS
ex.

Input:

155:30:24
34:22:11
90:40:05

output:

280:32:40

The best approach in these cases is to break down your values first to a single unit, then do simple arithmetics, then convert your result to your original units again.

This might look complicated but the conversion will be generic and you do it only once:

To convert "hh:mm:ss" to seconds simply parse the hours, minutes and seconds part and add: "(( seconds = seconds + minutes * 60 + hours * 3600 ))".

To convert seconds to "hh:mm:ss"-format divide first your value by 3600, neglecting the remainder. Use the result, multiply by 3600 and subtract this from your value, then divide the result by 60 similarily, giving you the minutes. Again multiply the minutes by 60, subtract and the remainder are the seconds.

The implementation of this into working code is left as an exercise to the reader.
