Special character in Diff

Hi
I am comparing 2 files (using diff command) with numerical data in them. In the output file I want only the differences which are in file2 but not in file1. Although I am getting the diffences i am also getting special characters in the output file which i do not want. Can somebody help me
For reference i am giving my 2 input file and the output file I am getting

Input file1.txt

101
102
103
104
105
106

Input file2.txt

104
108
106

After diff file1.txt file2.txt result.txt

Output file Result.txt

1,3d0
< 101
< 102
< 103
6c2
< 105
----
> 108

However in output I only want
101
102
103
105

Hi,

diff o1.lst o2.lst|awk -F\\"<" '{print $2}'|sed '/^$/d'

Thanks

This will work for what you said:

Code:
 cat file1 file2 | sort | uniq -u > filter && fgrep -f filter file2

You said that you only want what's in file2 that's not in file1. That's what this line does. However, your sample output is not that at all, so maybe there's some confusion. Please clear it up if that is the case.

Code:
diff file1.txt file2.txt | grep "^<" | cut -d' ' -f2
