Read MSword documents using perl

Hi.. Is there a way to read MSWord documents( xyz.doc ) in unix using perl ? when it comes to reading Excel we can use Spreadsheet:SmiliearseExcel which will run both in windows and unix.Is there any similar modules to read Word docs in unix ???

Look up the Unix tool "catdoc."

It converts a Microsoft Word document to a flat text file.

Thanks Shawn.But catdoc is a tool.do we have ant modules equivalent to spreadsheet parseExcel which ll read word doc in unix ???
