PHP Sed : identify a pattern and append a word at the end of a line

Hello to all,

On aix, I want to identify a term on a line in a file and then add a word at the end of the line identified. I do not want the word to be added when the line contains the symbol "#".

I use the following command, but it deletes the term identified then adds the word.

#sed 's/1/;chmod 622/' file
;chmod 622
2
3
4
5
6

Thank you very much for your help. excuse my English but I do not speak very well.

In fact I want to get this result
original file

1 #
1
# 1
2
3

file processed by sed

1 #
1;chmod 622
# 1
2
3

Just insert the word ";chmod 622" at the end of the line when a line contains the term "1" and does not contain the word "#".

Thank you for the order. It works to add at the end of the line "chmod644" when a line contains the word "1".

What should I add to the command for adding the term "chmod644" is not done when the line contains the word "#".
