I am using WindowMaker now and it is fast.
Some other pretty fast ones are Enlightenment and fluxbox.

You don't need the 2nd and 3rd discs. They just have more cool programs.

And it has its own installation. You'll probably need to burn what you downloaded to a disc, and install from there.
