Does anyone know how you can get the manufacturer of the modem without opening the machine?

I have a little prob with dialing up to the internet... When I try connect, it says "Sorry, modem is busy"...

Specs:

Laptop
56K modem
Slackware 8.0
Kernel 2.4.5

thx, but I figured it out...

I used:

#mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom


works perfect!

But I'm wondering one thing! Do I have tot type that string everytime I start the computer?...

Does anyone have a list of all the fstypes?

I don't know what fstype to use when mounting the cdrom...

I tried to type 'mount -t vfat /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy'

But then I get an error message:

mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/fd0, or too many mounted file systems

I got Xwin torun now, but now I have another prob...

I can't access the floppy or CDRom... The system can not find my ethernet network card either.

Network card = SiS900 Ethernet
