now I'm using the GNU tools included in the solaris 9 companion cd (the ones in /opt/sfw) now the only problem left is installing linux-heartbeat-1.2.3, it shows the same kind of errors as before...

I reversed the two entries and it is using GNU tools. Althought it goes a little bit further it still shows the same kind of errors as before
