Error Message with ls
When I try to list a directory that I have been using rsync to copy, I now am getting the following message.

root # ls -alt /directory
ls: /directory: Value too large to be stored in data type....

I'm using rsync also.

The command I'm using is this rsync -v -q -r -u --delete --force /dir /dir-copy
Can you try this and see if corrects your issue?

How does this work? are the "!" replacing "/"?

I was getting the same errors as the poster, replaced "/" with "!" and now my sed script is working as needed.
