I think i got it with:
file *.sh | wc -l

what if a shell script isn't ended with .sh?
is there any way to know it with the file...

what's the difference of these two commands?
shouldn't they give the same output?

echo `echo \`date\``
is the same as the command date

echo `echo date`
prints the word date

Which version of perl is installed on my system?
Hi,
With the command perl -v i can see the perl version, but it's like a text file..
is there a command which could give me just the perl version number?
i.e.: "5.8.1"
