Thanks Auswipe that solved it; I mounted all filesystems and used the 'chsh' utility to change root's shell back to it's original. Thanks to everyone that replied and great forum btw.

Hello folks, I'm very new to Unix so please bear with me.

I have a FreeBSD 5.1 box on IP address 192.168.1.4 and I want to tell it to use my broadband router (192.168.1.1) as it's default gateway....
