I am trying to send an email with message body and attachment.but i am getting any one like message body or attachment.

I tried below command:

(echo "subject:test";echo...

yes. I checked as I am not a root user I am unable to view the log. But i Checked in /var/log/spool/mail

And i find the below message:
... while talking to e2yxyxyx.eyx.ayx.gyx.com.:
<<< 554...

where I can check the logs??

when I am using sendmail command to send an email on one of my Linux(RHEL 6.5) server. I am unable to receive emails.

Command line:

echo "test" | /usr/lib/sendmail -v...

I didn't get any error message while running the command. But I am getting blank email. can anyone tell the attachment parameter for sendmail command.I tried but "a" parameter won't work I guess.

Now I am able to send an email using sendmail. But adding attachment failed.

I am trying the below command

echo "Attachment" | /usr/lib/sendmail -v devipriya.challa@ge.com -a home/test/te.txt...

server is Liniux RHEL 6.5 version. this is new server which I am trying to send email. And I am running this with a functional ID.

when I cd to the path /usr/sbin/ I got

sendmail -> /etc/alternatives/mta is this a file??

yes this time tried with "whereis sendmail" got below output

sendmail: /usr/sbin/sendmail.postfix /usr/sbin/sendmail.sendmail /usr/sbin/sendmail /usr/lib/sendmail.postfix...

yeah I tried,

-> "which sendmail" got below

/usr/bin/which: no sendmail in (/usr/lib64/qt-3.3/bin:/usr/local/bin:/bin:/usr/bin:/home/hyperion/bin)

After all your suggestions, I tried to make new setup as I have deleted old keys and .ssh directory.

Now to avoid manual pasting of keys, I can use cat keys >> authorizedkeys as suggested....

yes I checked on permissions both directory and files having 755. And public key I appended to authorized_keys too.
