I am able to mount samba but it just won't mount when i reboot system
what is stopping it from mounting after reboot?


I mounted before reboot but right after reboot...i ran mount
[root@vm3 ~]#...

[root@vm1 ~]# visudo
[root@vm1 ~]# exit
logout
[vm1@vm1 ~]$ sudo mkdir /home/vm1/Desktop/nfs
[sudo] password for vm1:
mkdir: cannot create directory `/home/vm1/Desktop/nfs': Permission denied

Well here is what i am faced with

[root@vm1 ~]# exit
logout
[vm1@vm1 ~]$ mkdir /home/vm1/Desktop/nfs
mkdir: cannot create directory `/home/vm1/Desktop/nfs': Permission denied
[vm1@vm1 ~]$ su...

So i am guessing that is what the problem is then because i have been running as root ever since...but then my question is why did it mount? Why can't linux not mount and tell me "you can't mount as...

No there is no acl...what i tried before was to mount NFS and also to mount the NFS using automounter and if you look at the error from the opening thread...you will see autofs in the context for the...

[root@vm1 ~]# df -h

I cannot mkdir as root

I have an nfs at 192.168.1.10:/home/vm1/Desktop/nfs and will like to mount locally to /home/vm1/Desktop/nfs-mount using automounter...need help doing do

What i did


$cat /etc/auto.master...

its both server and client on same CentOS 6.4 system...not sure what those errors are as well

I am trying to mount SAMBA/CIFS and it just won't work
Here are my settings...please let me know what i did wrong
