the text structure of the file is like this:

i would upload the file but i don´t find a possibility to do it here.....

unfortunalety i don´t see any ouput. i tried do modify the awk command in the way that new outout file is generated but this file is empty. do you think it would be easier by using a linux os instead...

A script is very nice, this was actually the next step for me :-)
I have written the script but i think nothing happens.... where does the script save the new file? is actually a new file created?...

by typing uname i get Darwin any by typing echo $SHELL i get /bin/bash.
