I noticed that sometimes there is "~#" or "~$" in the terminal. What is that? I can't make any research in google because I don't know what are they called. I even tried reading pdf's or books but...

Thanks. Yes I have done that. And it worked like magic. By the way, I don't understand why using sudo is dangerous (really, I'm a Linux dummy :( ). I might do some research first.
