I dont see any output when doing apt-get clean

rpm package is already installed, just tried to run reinstall to see if it fixes the issue.

I have tested for one package and it was not successful.

Sorry none of them were working, i mean i am not able to move forward with apt-get --reinstall

I have tested the below scenario before deploying on Production machine:

When i try to unmount /var partition after booting with boot -s from OK prompt

Then i get

umount /var
umount: /var...

I'am not sure if u can run fsck /var with the OS running and i believe you would have to boot from cd and then mount /var, or change the /etc/hosts so it doesn't use /var, then reboot and then fsck...

Then run fsck

Can i directly run fsck on the /var mirrored partition as below?

fsck -y /var

instead of

fsck -y /dev/md/dsk/d140

Please assist as this is production environment.

Yes every time i do a find the file name is same. This issue has been started since last 2 months.

If i want to run fsck on mirrored partition, what exactly do i need to follow?

I need to run fsck on /var and it is mirrored partition. Please assist.
