Issue Fixed to connect putty to VMware Sun Solaris Box

Tried following steps :

1. Edited /etc/ssh/sshd_config --> PermitRootLogin yes
2. Configure the VMWare settings

Trying to ping from VM machine to my local system:

ICMP host unreachable from gateway (192.168.1.4) for icmp from (192.168.1.4)
no answer from (192.168.147.1)

It says it is already configured

ifconfig: SIOCSLIFNAME for ip: e1000g0: already exists

Anything else that I can try :confused:

I'm still stuck with...

I do see a card configured when I hit dladm show-dev:

e1000g0 link:up speed: 1000 Mbps duplex: full

Any link ? how do I configure zone ?

I'm also quite new to Sun OS, but I've been working on RHEL/SUSE/CentOS.
Need advice to get going with Sun as well.

Currently, I am struggling to get my net working on my VMware machine...
