When a user try to run the command w they get the following error:
w: Cannot open /unix for reading: Permission denied (error 13)

I found another thread on this site where a guy had an issue where the users are logged in longer than the uptime. The replies he got was also todo with the utmp and wtmp files

I am trying to install AIX6.1 from a NIM server, but the installation hangs on 90% Filesets processed 551 of 571.

Is there some log somewhere to check why it is failing or hanging?
