root user and password
Hi

Can anyone help me with a query? Is a password mandatory for the root user. I'm studying for Solaris SCSAS and one of the answers implies that it is not.

I've googled but not getting much...

I just created a file starting with "f" and...
I just created a file starting with "f" and ending in "." and it does appear to change the behaviour...but can you tell me why that is?

egrep '(Jolly)|(Brewers)' public

meant OR...i.e Jolly OR Brewers....and not both. I guess it must be the brackets that change the meaning slightly
