Looks like 'root_archive' with the 'unpack' utility is only on installed SPARC systems which I don't have, not accessible any other way. :-(

Thanks for the tip, I may try that shortly.

In the mean-time, I reset-all, and probe-scsi-all, rebooted.

I was able to boot to disk and get to a shell.

I added the line you mentioned...
