I am able to get application name in command prompt using netstat but not able to get in linux.

I am getting firefox.exe, nlnotes.exe and putty.exe in command prompt

If typing lsof -i :80 ,

I get the name as *:http (LISTEN) and some othr like this. what command is to get the exact application name like mozzilla firefox or lotus notes or like that

In command prompt i typed as

telnet yahoo.com 80

i got output in blank page as

Telnet Yahoo.com as Heading in top of screen in that blue border.

oly blank screen appearing

It doesnt...

It belongs to command prompt section and that one belongs to linux section

so as a owner of file can change permissions only but not owner and group
