when i run a select query in database, it will return the objid based on the condtion. If there is no objid tht meets the condition, I will not get any value returned and the variable will hold...

1) I want to find from the current directory the number of files (count) with two or more particular extentions in another directory.

For ex: If I am in a/b/c directory... I want to find...

I want to do the following thing and I am newbie to Unix:

1) FTP files and save them in a folder
2) Pick the oldest file and also its name among the above FTPed files
3) Copy it to another...
