when i start the cygwin from command prompt using 'start c:\cygwin\cygwin.bat' , cygwin started and if i run the cygwin from oracle using java procedure, cygwin...

but iam doing this in oracle 9i, we can't use dbms_scheduler in 9i

how can i acheive this in oracle 9i

I would like to call the shell script from pl/sql and i need to uses the value returned by the shell script in pl/sql procedure.
