Have you try edit the map using ypedit passwd ?

maybe you can further investigate by :
#metadb -i

#prstat -U oracle
-- This command will list down all process handled by "oracle" user . something like #ps -ef | grep oracle

#tar -cvf /[destination].tar /[source]/*
