Thanks a lot. I tried using the wildcard and that did not work. Unix cannot find the file in that case.

To follow up on my earlier email-

I tried to run the script but it says enter the parameters like: user Id=
so in the $ sign I enter my name as the user Id and it says
ksh : indira: not found....
