Okay, so I killed all mysql processes. I check ps aux and no mysql process are running. Then I start it via the shell script and I check ps aux (below). Now I check my website to see if it connects...

Here is ps aux, I don't see anything about mysql having problems in /var/log/message. You can see that I tried stopping mysql with the shell script but it is still running. THanks
