Concept of solaris when it startup and shutting down

when it start it will start daemon and process by order at /etc/rcS.d , /etc/rc1.d , /etc/rc2.d /etc/rc3.d ans when it shutdown it will
invert...

may be you can use
sar -r 2 100 ( 2 is inteval time and 100 is polling number)

you must see like this

10:10:40 freemem freeswap
10:10:42 54903 4945408
10:10:44 54903 4945408

...

PS: Before you wait it moment you must use init5 or shutdown -i5 -g0 -y first :D

You should wait it for kill process first when it back to login screen you don't be anything , Wait a moment after that it should be shutdown automatic :)

You can check release of os that you install by

more /etc/release

you will know release of os

And if you install latest recommend patch on you box when you use command
uname -a you must...

You just use voldcheck and checkit by df -k
If it can't mount try to use /etc/init.d/volmgt stop and start and check it again

If you don't want this error show you

you just add . in /etc/hosts

example your hostname is xxx

10.10.10.10 xxx xxx.test.com loghost

and check log messages again...

Umount it first and then remove config file
