Ok not once did i hear, what kind of file system this guy was running on his XP machine, or maybe i miss read well if it was NTFS ther are easyer ways... and that dos utility would be useless..

Ok when i reboot my machine its a pain in the A** i do not have a monitor on it and i know its going to eventualy ask me to type

No its fine now
I found somebody that has the same system and they sent me a copy of there login file and i changed the permission's on it and now it works find .... but i was praying there for a second...

well i found this file in user's home directory
/home/%username% .sh_history
In any case i would do the following

more /home/%username%/.sh_history
or
cd /home/%username%
more .sh_history...

Ok i logged into CDE and ran dtconfig -d from in there and it worked fine without a problem and then rebooted my machine and it X did not come back up thanks alot everyone

I have run dtconfig both ways that you are talking about and the result is the same..... but when i get home this evening i will check the other file....

This the output and the command that i used



# pfs_mount /dev/dsk/c1t2d0 /SD_ROM
pfs_mount: giving up on /SD_ROM


tryed it a couple of diffrent ways.. but still no luck, i think its time...
