I have installed a SCSI Controller onto an HPUX 10.20b and I don't have any driver files for it when I check in Sys Admin. Do I need to update the kernel? I am not sure how to get the computer...

Hi, I am trying to unzip a file that I unmounted onto a unix machine from a cd I had burned in a Windows machine. The file I am trying to unzip is a .tar file... it was originally a .tar.gz file...

Is there any way to figure out what exactly the problem is? Any unix commands which test the port?

It only recognizes ttya when I do a soft reboot, but both with a hard reboot. Sorry about the typo.

When I do a hard reboot, the system recognizes both the ttya and the ttyb, but when I do a hard reboot, it only doesn't recognize the ttyb. Is there a way I can fix this???

Is there a unix command to find out what type of graphics card you have installed and to see other hardware settings? Any help would be appreciated. I'm using Solaris 7. :D
