Temperature is constant there is no operation but fans rpm vary. There must be some other control mechanism to adjust fan speed.

I unplugged both power cords and then plugged...

Does taking out the battery and waiting for some time (results in time/date reset) resets the ALOM ? I tried chassis serial (Sys S/N) doesn't work either.
